Christmas Message to the People of Talasea District

As we draw closer to the close of 2025, I am honoured to share a message of hope, love, and unity with the people of Talasea District—across Kimbe Urban, Talasea LLG, and Bali Vitu LLG.

This Christmas season invites us to pause and remember the birth of Jesus Christ, who came into the world more than 2,000 years ago bringing hope, freedom, and salvation to humanity. His light continues to guide us—especially as we reflect on a year marked by both challenges and achievements. Through it all, our resilience, faith, and determination have carried us forward.

Here in Talasea District, we have reason to be proud. This year, we witnessed the commissioning of the Talasea Police Houses and the upgrading of the Talasea District Police Station. These milestones reaffirm our strong commitment to law and order, community safety, and peace.

At the national and district levels, our government remains focused on delivering meaningful development. Education, health, and security remain our priorities. We have established the Garove Technical Secondary School and Talasea Secondary School, expanding opportunities for our young people. The Talasea District Level 4 Hospital is now under construction—a major step forward for healthcare delivery—made possible through partnerships, including the valued support of the Australian Government.

As we celebrate Christmas, let us do so with purpose and compassion. Attend church. Spend time with your families. Share what you have. Let us remember the elderly, orphans, widows, and those in need, and extend to them love, kindness, and hope.

I sincerely acknowledge our leaders, public servants, institutions, and corporate partners whose dedication continues to drive growth, create employment, and strengthen our province’s economy. Your contributions matter.

To the people of Talasea District, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year. May 2026 bring renewed strength, prosperity, success, and God’s abundant blessings to every household.

I also extend my gratitude to our national parliamentarians, LLG presidents, ward councillors, and church leaders for your tireless service. To my family, and above all to the Almighty God, thank you for your unwavering support and guidance.

May the light of Christ shine upon us all—today and always.

Merry Christmas, and have safe celebrations.

Thank you.
