TISA Bank Supports Magic Manuaga Cricket Club for the 2025-2026 Season
Christmas arrived early for Magic Manuaga Cricket Club, one of the teams competing in the Kira Kira Cricket Association Inc T20 Competition, following a timely sponsorship boost from TISA Bank Limited ahead of the 2025–2026 season.
On Saturday, 20 December 2025, TISA Bank presented the club with a full set of new uniforms for players and officials, along with essential cricket gear to support preparations for the upcoming season. The sponsorship was warmly received by the team, management, and supporters, providing both practical support and renewed motivation as the season gets underway.
Magic Manuaga has established itself as one of the competition’s standout teams, having claimed the 2023 Grand Final title and continuing to set high standards both on and off the field. The squad currently features one of Papua New Guinea’s elite cricketers, Michael Hairai, a Barramundis international from Kira Kira Village in the Motu Koita area of the National Capital District. Hairai represented Papua New Guinea on multiple international tours in 2025 and is now preparing for further international duties in 2026.
Head coach Hale Ginate said the support from TISA Bank has provided a significant morale boost for the team. “It’s encouraging to see institutions like TISA Bank believe in community sport. This support isn’t just about uniforms, it’s a vote of confidence in our players, especially the youth, and it motivates us to go harder this season.”
TISA Bank’s involvement forms part of its broader commitment to community development through sport, recognising the role of grassroots competitions in fostering discipline, leadership, and pride among young people.
A representative from TISA Bank said, “We’re proud to support Magic Manuaga and the work being done through the Kira Kira Cricket Association. Sport builds unity, empowers youth, and strengthens communities, values we deeply believe in.”
As the 2025–2026 season unfolds, Magic Manuaga will take to the field in fresh new kits, and with renewed confidence, carrying the aspirations of their village, their supporters, and the wider Motu Koita community. With backing from TISA Bank, the club continues its journey of building champions, both on and off the field.
